The world is your oyster

The web makes so many things and information accessible, it sometimes feels as if the world has become a smaller place – and not in a bad way. That’s why I really enjoy writing for Pocketcultures, a group blog / cultural magazine with the aim to provide a guide to world cultures.

“We aim to be a place to find out about different countries and world cultures: personal observations and accounts of daily life, articles and interesting projects related to countries and cultures of the world. A place to understand how people of other places and cultures live, how do they dress, what do they eat, what music do they listen to, what do they think. All this not intermediated, but in a single interactive place and directly from the writers.”

Pocketcultures consists of 3 different sections: Blogs of the World, featuring high quality, well written blogs from different countries; Topics of the World, articles and links about specific aspects of world cultures; and My partner is a Foreigner, real life stories of cross-cultural encounters.

And the best thing about Pocketcultures is: they let me feature Sonic Iceland. So please pay a visit and learn more about the world.

  1. Thanks for the mention! I already commented on your other post that we’re all looking forward to the updates from your trip, but I’ll repeat it here too It looks like it’s going to be a really interesting project. And, since we don’t have an Icelandic contributor on PocketCultures yet… maybe you will manage to recruit one too!
